There has been a lot done this week, thursday we had a lot of nasty rain so no house work that day. Unfortunately the rain and resulting cold weather overnight created an indoor ice skating rink all through the house. On friday Heather and kids came down and helped, it was very cold and VERY muddy. We were all tracking mud all over everywhere.Don Duecker came and helped out (thanks to Janet for very yummy cake and Heather for beef and broth for noodles and apricot pie) We were able to get started on the floor joist for the second floor.Saturday Mike and Chris came, got most of floor joist up and support beams for upper floor, sunday the weather was much improved so they decided to work all day. Mike Chris and Phillip came and finished the upper floor with sheeting.
Now we are ready to start building upper floor walls. It is really coming together, I can walk through the rooms and really see how it all is. Nice to see the visual from paper to reality. I really love how the upper floor ends over the living room to create a loft area, with the cathedral type ceiling it will make the room feel bigger and open. Which is good because it is a small living room.
This next weekend we hope to get the upper floor walls built, garage trusses are ordered and should come this week. We need to get the garage walls sheeted, won't be long and we will be putting on roof, that will be so great to see. Be sure and check out the building picture pages, I added new pictures.
